The retracts were scratch built from drawings of the full size Catalina, the main one from steel and the nose gear from aluminium. Sturla's model has 3 receivers, 6 batteries and 14 servos. The wing floats are fully functional and are driven by a 380 6V boat motor in the center of the wing. The gear for the wing floats is made out of Kyosho parts for R/C cars. The wing breaks down to 3 parts for transportation.
